David is the founding member of Project Recognise which commenced as an internal project during his time at the Queensland Police Service.   When hearing third hand a story of some good work performed by on of his staff, he set about changing the status quo to ensure his staff and all staff within his organisation were appropriately and quickly acknowledged for their good work.

After realising the benefits enjoyed by his work colleagues, David decided to take it to the civilian world. Project Recognise is a platform where people from the community are able to nominate community members for appropriate acknowledgement.  This may be a long term volunteer, someone who helps their local community or has performed a brave act that is worthy of further recognition.
